2024年２月からスタートするウォーキング・デッド のスピンオフ・シリーズ【ザ・ワンズ・フー・リブ】!! 首を長くして待っていたファンの期待通りの仕上がりで本作を凌ぐ勢いです。

昨年完結した【ウォーキング・デッド】メインシリーズの最終シーズンであるシーズン11後を舞台にした全6話のラブストーリー。

今日Lyraが解説するのは、アメリカ合衆国AMC製作のTVシリーズ【The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live ウォーキング・デッド : ザ・ワンズ・フー・リブ】です。

1.【ザ・ワンズ・フー・リブ】とは

【The Ones Who Live ザ・ワンズ・フー・リブ】は全6話構成の短編ドラマ。今年2024年２月25日から放送開始。ご存知2010年から2022年11月まで放送されていた【ウォーキング・デッド 】のスピンオフの1つです。

前にもこのブログでお話しましたが、リーダーであるリック主役の映画版【ウォーキング・デッド】 が、3部作に渡って制作が予定されていました。ですが視聴率など大人の事情から映画製作は中止になり、マギー&ニーガン、ダリル&キャロル、などのスピンオフ同様、リックとミショーンを主人公にしたドラマに変更されたものが、この【ザ・ワンズ・フー・リブ】となりました。

そのおかげで先に放送された2つのスピンオフより莫大な金額の制作費が投入され、現在のような映画の特撮満載な【ザ・ワンズ・フー・リブ】が出来上がったのです。最高じゃ〜ん！！

当初のタイトルは、前にお話した【Rick & Michonne リック＆ミショーン】でした。ですが、他のマギー＆ニーガンのスピンオフ同様、タイトルが改正されたのです。因みにダリル＆キャロルも作られる可能性はありますが、今のところ、先に放送された【The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon ウォーキング・デッド : ダリル・ディクソン】と言うタイトルのスピンオフに組み込まれています。(シーズン2制作予定もされています。)

The series follows Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne Grimes (Danai Gurira) and serves as a conclusion to the characters’ stories following their respective exits on The Walking Dead, replacing the previously announced film trilogy. It premiered on February 25, 2024.

 

2.Story ストーリー概要

ドラマの主人公・リック（アンドリュー・リンカーン）は、シーズン9で仲間達を助ける為に橋の上でウォーカーを阻止する為に橋を爆破。行方不明になってしまいました。あの状況では死亡確実だったのですが、奇跡的に助けられて(アンが連れて行った) 行き先不明のヘリコプターに乗せられそのままシリーズを離脱。誰しもがリックは死んだと思っていましたが、愛するリックを探す為に、ミショーン（ダナイ・グリラ）もシーズン10で仲間のもとを離れ、リックを1人で探しに旅立ちました。

その後、本編のファイナル・シーズン最終話でシリーズに復帰し、二人のその後が描かれたため、あのシーンのその後をこの【ザ・ワンズ・フー・リブ】で描いています。

そして今までのウォーキング・デッド と違い、今回は、リック・グライムズとミショーンのラブストーリーがメインになっているのが面白い点です。だってウォーキング・デッド は男女などの恋愛を描くのがイマイチと言われて来たからです。

本作で描かれるのは、リックとミショーンの「旅」と「愛」。ウォーカーが溢れる世界における2人の壮大なラブストーリーになると発表されています。

この物語では、2人のラブストーリーは、今までとは違う、変化した舞台、変わり果てた世界によって関係が変わっていきます。2人は距離によって引き裂かれたのです。でも離れ離れになっていても決して切れない絆を再び燃やすだけでなく、壊れた世界でヒーローになるために、お互いの元へ戻る方法を見つけるために戦わなければならなくなるのです。

This series presents an epic love story of two characters changed by a changed world. Kept apart by distance. By an unstoppable power. By the ghosts of who they were. Rick and Michonne are thrown into another world, built on a war against the dead… And ultimately, a war against the living. Can they find each other and who they were in a place and situation unlike any they’ve ever known before? Are they enemies? Lovers? Victims? Victors? ジョージア州キング郡の元保安官代理、アレクサンドリア安全地帯の元リーダー、そして死亡したと思われていたミショーンの夫。

Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes: A former sheriff’s deputy from King County, Georgia, the former leader of the Alexandria Safe-Zone, and Michonne’s husband who was presumed to be dead.

ミショーン Mibhonne (Danai Gurira)

刀を持った戦士、アレクサンドリア安全地帯の元リーダー、リックを探すためにグループを離れたリックの妻。

Danai Gurira as Michonne: A katana-wielding warrior, former leader of the Alexandria Safe-Zone, and Rick’s wife who left the group to search for him.

ジェイデス・ストークス 又の名を アン Jadis Stokes / Anne  (Pollyanna McLntosh)

CRM ヘリコプターでリック・グライムスとともに失踪した CRM 准尉。ジェイデス役のこのマッキントッシュは、スピンオフシリーズ『ウォーキング・デッド：ワールド・ビヨンド』のシーズン2にも主役で出演した。

A man from a small community who was good at mechanics and chemistry. He is also an inventor and becomes Michonne’s understanding and companion on her journey.

ナットと同じく小さなコミュニティの住民。彼氏のベイリーが怪我をして身動きが取れず困っていた所をミショーンが助けてやった。ミショーンの友人になる。ブレンダ・ウールは『ウォーキング・デッド』からの役を再演。

Like Nat, she lives in a small community. Michonne rescues her boyfriend Bailey when she is unable to move due to an injury. Become Michonne’s friend.

The leader of the small community Michonne meets, and Alden’s older sister. Follow the rules and prioritize the community above all else. This caused her sister and Nat to consider running away from the community. She persistently invited Michonne to join her team.

クレオ・クリプトン Cleo Clifton (Tessa Slovis)

ミショーンが働いている受託人の仕事場で一緒に働いている女性。ポストアポカリプスのこの場所で、フィラデルフィア市民共和国の荷受人と言う事以外、まだ話していない為、全くわからない。ラテン系、白人のアメリカ人のどちらか。ミショーンに「貴方は知識と力があるとオーラを放射しているから、わかる」などやたらミショーンに話しかけてくる。

A woman who works with Michonne at the trustee’s workplace. In this post-apocalyptic place, other than the fact that he’s a consignee of the Philadelphia Civil Republic, she haven’t talked yet, so I don’t know anything about it. Either Latino or white American. She keeps talking to Michonne, saying things like, “I can tell because you radiate an aura that you have knowledge and power.”
