クリスマス・イブだから、今日はクリスマスソングを皆さんにお届けしましょう。
実は幾つかクリスマスソングを和訳していたの〜。
それを一曲ずつあげるつもりが、「今日の気分は違うなあ」と、いつもの気分が違う〜の結果、今年は全部あげられないかも〜。
今夜はその中で一番新しいクリスマスソンにしました。
Liam Gallagherのクリスマスソングも良い感じ。
「Oasisのクリスマス・ソングを上げたばかりだから違うバンドが良いかな？」とも思ったけど、今日みたいな寒い日は、「しっとりと冬の時を感じ、クリスマスを味うのが良いかな。」と思ったので、Liamが久しぶりに甘々Sweetに歌う最新曲にしました。
Liamの歌い方がJohn Lennonになっていますが、この曲自体がJohnをイメージして作られたとも言われているので、狙っているのでしょう。
Oasis時代と違い、ソロになった Liamは、しっとり歌うが好きみたい。

国民的ロックバンドのOasis オアシスのヴォーカリストとして知られ、解散後は、元Beadie Eye ビーディ・アイのリード・ボーカリストとして活躍。
解散後は、ソロアーティストに転向し、現在も活動している。
「Q誌の選ぶ歴史上最も偉大な100人のシンガー」において第11位。身長178cm。

LG’s Christmas single is a tender tune about love triumphing in times of crisis, ideally rolled out on the Hootenanny for an 11pm tearjerker after a few eggnogs
Liam Gallagher has shared a new song called “All You’re Dreaming Of.” He co-wrote the song with Simon Aldred; Miike Snow’s Andrew Wyatt served as producer. In a statement, Gallagher said, “‘All You’re Dreaming Of’ is an instant classic that is perfect for this time of year. つい先日アメリカのTVショーに出演した時のライブ。 Jonathan Ross Show のライブで、音も良いし、Liamの声もしっかりと出ていて良いライブです。
次のMVもTVにゲスト出演した時のもの。
こちらの方が先に放送されたライブであり、ハドソン川で歌うLiamがご機嫌なのがわかります。
Oasisのクリスマスソングを先日紹介したけれど、彼方はNoelが歌っているのと、曲調も内容も違うから良いかな?と思い、こちらを選びました。
今までいくつもリリースしていると思っていたら、初のクリスマスソングらしいので意外ね〜。
この曲の優しい歌い方、そして歌詞の真面目な感じが、新しいソフトなイメージをLiamに与えている。
きっとこれから、このソフトな一面も彼の持ち味になって行くでしょう。

「【All You’re Dreaming Of】は、この時期にぴったりのインスタント・クラシックだよ。俺たち皆んなが過ごした年を考えると、この歌のように願っている。必要とされていた愛と希望を取せたらなって思ってるんだ。Bing Crosby は誇りに思っていたんじゃないかな？」とLiamが語るように、色々あった今年１年を振り返り、出来なかったことや、愛し合うことをまた普通に出来る様にと願いを込めた歌が、この【All You’re Dreaming Of】なのです。
オーケストラと一緒に曲を録音するために象徴的なアビーロードに向かったにもかかわらず、Liamは、ボーカルが完成したトラックをカットしたことを明らかにしている。
「俺とSimon Aldred サイモン・アルドリッジはそれをまとめたんだ」と彼はラジオXのJohny ジョニー・ヴォーンに語っている。
「イギリスが封鎖された初めの頃に、彼はそれについてのいくつかのアイデアを送ってくれたのさ。そして俺は、彼にちょろっと返送したってわけさ。俺んちに小さなスタジオを設置したからね。それもボクサーパンツ一丁でさ！」と居心地の良い場所であることも語っているから、Liamにとっては、最悪な状況も製作の場を作る時間に割けたのだから、意外と悪くはなかったのかもしれない。
このクリスマスシングルは、危機の時代に勝利を収めた愛についての優しい曲と言えると思う。
理想的には、数回のエッグノッグの後、午後11時のティアジャーカーのためにHootenannyで展開されるのだろう、いつものイングランドだったらば。
「それで俺たちは、封鎖で修道院に入ったわけさ。真ちゅうをしたり、角を鳴らしたりするために、マスクをかぶったたくさんの人々がいる。アビーロードでボーカルを録音したけど、ボクサーパンツで家でやったボーカルほど良くはなかったんだよ。
だから俺は、アビーロードのボーカルをやめて、こっちを使ったんだ。
リラックスしたLiamの歌声は、そのおかげ。
普段から気取らないLiamだけど、より彼らしい歌声がこの曲で聴けるでしょう。

ミュージック・ビデオの窓に描かれた「This is not here」というメッセージが気になった方へ。
このフレーズはJohn Lennon ジョン・レノンの映画『Imagine イマジン』にも登場した言葉で、オノ・ヨーコの展覧会のタイトルにもなっていたメッセージです。
だから、このメッセージをLiamが選んだのは、先日このブログでも取り上げた12月8日のJohn Lennon の命日と彼が没後40年を迎えたことを受けてのものでしょう。
The Beatles好き、John 好きのLiamらしい選択だと思う。
【All You’re Dreaming Of】は、現在ストリーミング可能で、つい最近12月18日にビニール(アナログ)でリリースされたばかり。
曲の収益はAction For ChildrenUKに寄付されるので、気になった方は、ゲットしてみては？
因みに、各ダウンロードとストリームからの純収入も、リリース日から2020年12月31日まで主要な慈善団体に送られル予定です。
Action for Childrenは、英国全土のコミュニティで476のサービスを提供しており、子供や若者に実践的で感情的なサポートを提供するとともに、彼らの声が確実に聞こえるようにし、すべての子供が安全で幸せな子供時代を過ごせるようキャンペーンを行っている団体です。

Liam Gallagher’s Down by The River Thamesのライブストリームは、12月5日に開催し、壮大なパフォーマンスでは、MelodyVRの画期的なテクノロジーにより、ロンドンで最も有名なランドマークのいくつかを通り過ぎるという大掛かりな撮影を決行。
「俺は、2枚のナンバー1ソロアルバムのトラックと、石のように冷たいオアシスのクラシックをやるよ。そのうちのいくつかは、俺が長い間歌っているのを皆んなは、聞いたことがないだろうね。ご存知のとおり。」
LiamのライブTVの方が、良い声が聞けて良かった。元気な姿も見れて。

ブログなので個人的な意見を書かなければいけないから書きますが、アンソニーバーンのドラマは大好き。
ですが、Liam Gallagherの素晴らしいパーソナリティが描かれていないのが、残念かも。そんな贅沢なことを要求するな、と言われたら仕方ないけど、Liamの動と静の良さがないから寂しい。
寂しいLiamしかいない感じ。それを狙っているのでしょうね。アンソニーらしいダークさで攻めて来て彼の持ち味なのですが。
だから、この「君は夢見て良いんだよ」と優しく語りかける歌声が悲しい、、、それで、TVの素直なLiamが歌うビデオの方をLyraは、おすすめしたいのです。
チャリティーにも使う曲だし、今の世界を明るくしたい思いもLiamoにはあるわけだから。
そして彼の良さであるファニーな面もわかるからライブ映像は素敵。
「見事なお祝いのシングルが必要」ともLiamは言っていたけれど、この曲は、見事なお祝いのシングルですよ、充分に！

Gallagher has certainly shown his softer side this year by releasing his own Christmas tune All You’re Dreaming Of.
Speaking of the track, which will raise funds for a good cause, he said: “All You’re Dreaming Of is an instant classic that is perfect for this time of year. Considering the year that we’ve all had, I hope this brings back some much needed love and hope. Bing Crosby would have been proud.”
Despite heading down to the iconic Abbey Road to record the song along with an orchestra, Liam revealed the vocals he laid down at home in his boxers ended up making the cut on the finished track.
“Me and Simon Aldridge put that one together,’ he told Radio X’s Johnny Vaughan. “At the beginning of lockdown he sent me some ideas for it and I sent him some bits back. I had a little studio put in my house”
Asked if it was comfortable, Gallagher replied: “Mate I did it in my boxer shorts!”
“So we go into Abbey in the lockdown,” he explained. “Loads of people with masks on to do the brass and do the f***ng horns and all that. I do the vocals in Abbey Road and they were nowhere near as good as the ones I did in the house in my boxer shorts”.
“SO I’ve binned the Abbey Road vocals and used these ones.”

All You’re Dreaming Of – which is available to stream now – will be released on vinyl on 18 December with proceeds of the song donated to Action For Children UK.
Net proceeds from each download and stream will also go to the leading charity from the day of its release until 31st December 2020.

Meanwhile, Liam Gallagher’s Down by The River Thames live stream is set to take place this Saturday 5 December.
Gallagher’s epic performance will see him sail past some of London’s most famous landmarks with MelodyVR’s groundbreaking technology putting fans at the heart of the action.
The Wall of Glass singer said of the event: “To all my brothers and sisters around the world. I’m performing a one-off celestial live performance for you to stream, ‘Down By The River Thames’, on 5th December 2020. I’ll be performing tracks from my two number 1 solo albums as well as some stone cold Oasis classics, some of which you haven’t heard me sing for a long, long time. C’mon you know. LG x”.
