最高に好きな歌詞だわ〜ww 毎度言っておりますが、どストレートな感情をHotに書いているものが好きなので、このDamianoのセクシーな言葉遊びに「そう、そう、そう歌ってくれてありがとう！」と感謝してしまうくらい。はい、そうなんです、この曲は「Lyraお得意のセクシーな歌詞」なのです！だから書いていて楽しくて仕方ないわ。

この【HONEY(Are U Coming?)】は、2023年9月12日に行われた2023 MTVビデオ・ミュージック・アワードで演奏された曲。見た人も多いのでは？
その約1ヶ月前の2023年8月8日に公式Instagramアカウントに投稿された30秒の抜粋とともに発表されたのお初。 その後2023年8月11日金曜日にコーラスを聞くことができる長い一節が公開と小出しにしてファンの気持ちを煽るタイプのセールスをしていた。
ロンドンとロサンゼルス間のMåneskin 北米ツアーの終わりに、シルベスター・シヴェルセン、ジャスティン・トランター、ユッシ・カルヴィネン、クスロエとともにバンドのメンバーによって書かれている。
Damiano David はこの曲の意味を次のように説明している。

歌詞について解説
この曲は、わかりやすく愛情の昂りを表現しているので、それもシンプルな言葉を使っているからいつものようにLyraの詳しい解説は必要ないと思うので描かなくても良いかな？と思いましたが、説明しなくてもエロい曲だとわかると思う、けど、中にはダブルミーニングの真面目な方だけで考えちゃう人もいるかもしれないのでそれでは勿体ないから今日はサクッと解説に行きますね。
Honey, Are You Coming?の1番目の歌詞にかけては、「イタリアの愛を俺が見せてあげるよ/ もっと激しく愛してあげる…」という歌詞から、この曲が本質的に性的なものだと色付けしているのです。イタリア男のDamianoに言われた嬉しくてたまらないねー。
その上で考えると歌詞の中の「Downtown」=ダウンタウンは歓楽街や都心部のことを指しますが、必ずしも地理的な言及じゃなくなって来るのよー。おそらく、これはオーラルセックスをほのめかしているの。はい、これについての説明は辞書やWikipediaにお任せいたします(笑)。

The song was announced on August 8, 2023 with a 30-second excerpt posted on the band’s official Instagram account.The song was written by the band’s members with Sylvester Sivertsen, Justin Tranter, Jussi Karvinen and Cxloe, at the end of Måneskin’s North American’s tour between London and Los Angeles. The frontman Damiano David explained the meaning of the song:
“It is the story of a meeting between two people who together see a bit of sadness in each other’s eyes, something that makes them feel out of place. It is an invitation to join in a new adventure without actually knowing what awaits them and enjoy the journey”.
this song has been teased from måneskin’ socials medias at the beginning of august 2023 with a small passage and then a longer one on friday august 11 2023 where people could hear the chorus .
The band performed the song at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards on 12 September.
Victoria De Angelis:
We wrote the song right after the last tour, we still had a lot of energy from the touring and the travelling. We wrote it in between London and LA. We’re really happy with the result and we think it’s something quite new for us.
Damiano David:
It’s the story of someone who has no gender or anything, you decide whoever it is. Find someone else and they can see in their eyes that there’s some sadness that they feel out of place and it’s an invitation from one person to another to join them into this new adventure without knowing what they’re actually going to find, but just enjoy the adventure.

The sound of HONEY is very different from our usual. We managed to keep a strong contrast between the sad and melancholic bits and lyrics and the up tempo and dance energy of the song through a lot of minor riffs and chords. This musical contrast talks about the inner fear of the unknown and the need of adventure and discovering something new. These feelings are connected to the idea of bringing someone special into a new and magical meeting place, of hope and salvation. HONEY is a love song. It talks about the feeling of meeting someone and discovering the same sadness and feeling out of place in their eyes, just to invite them towards an unknow adventure together. No one knows what is going to happen, but the ride is the ultimate important bit to enjoy.
