I want to give you a lot of things to write for this blog and I want to draw what I want to draw, but when this day comes, I have to remember Chris Cornell. and I should show Chris' beautiful voices & his works to you and enjoy them with you for Chris today Chris Cornell's death day. I've loved your songs & your voices for long times. maybe I'll love you forever. Chris Cornell R.I.P.

"Patience" is a song by American hard rock band Guns N' Roses, which appears on the album G N' R Lies and was released as a single in 1989. The song peaked at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song is a ballad, played using three acoustic guitars and was recorded in a single session by producer Mike Clink. A music video of the song was shot and appears on the band's music video DVD, Welcome to the Videos. Rock musician Chris Cornell recorded a cover of the song, which was released posthumously on July 20, 2020.

=Patience =

[Verse 1]
Shed a tear 'cause I'm missing you
I'm still alright to smile
Girl, I think about you every day now
Was a time when I wasn't sure
You set my mind at ease
There ain't no doubt you're in my heart now

[Chorus]
Said, woman, take it slow, it will work itself out fine
All we need is just a little patience
Said, sugar, make it slow, we will come together fine
All we need is just a little patience

[Verse 2]
I sit here on the stairs
I'd rather be alone
If I can't have you right now, I'll wait, dear
Sometimes it gets so tense
I can't speed up the time
But you know, love, there's one more thing to consider

[Chorus]
Said, woman, take it slow and things will be just fine
If you and I just use a little patience
Said, sugar, take the time, 'cause the lights are shining bright
You and I got what it takes to make it

[Bridge]
I've been walking these streets at night
Just trying to get it right
Hard to see with so many around
You know I don't like being stuck in a crowd
And the streets don't change, but maybe the names
You know I ain't got time for the games
'Cause I need you
Yeah, I need you

[Chorus]
Said, woman, take it slow, it will work itself out fine
All we need is just a little patience
Said, sugar, make it slow, we will come together fine
All we need is just a little patience

Guns N’Roses

Chris Cornellの【Patience】

Chris

Temple Of The Dog、Audioslave

バンド以外にも『Euphoria Morning』(1999年)、『Carry On』(2007年)、『Scream』(2009年)、『Higher Truth』(2015年)と4枚のソロアルバムしているし、2006年『007 カジノ・ロワイヤル』の主題歌(You know my name)を歌った。

Lyrics

Chris Cornell , great singer, R.I.P. …

Lyra

Chris Cornell

Chris Cornell

In a statement, Cornell's wife Vicky said that she felt "we needed to create a special collection to represent all of him – the friend, husband and father, the risk taker and innovator, the poet and artist. His soaring vocals found their way into the hearts and souls of so many. His voice was his vision and his words were his peace. This album is for his fans." Many of Cornell's friends contributed to the album; including being produced by Brendan O'Brien, with Jeff Ament of Pearl Jam creating the artwork.

The estate of late Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell has released the rockstar's cover of Guns N' Roses' 1989 track "Patience" in honor of what would have been his 56th birthday.

The song — issued on what would have been Cornell's 56th birthday — was recorded in 2016 at Los Angeles' Henson Studios as the singer worked on a solo album. While teaching his daughter Toni how to play the 1988 ballad, he decided to record the song on his own as a tribute to Guns N' Roses' reunion announcement.

Cornell's version is built on fingerpicked acoustic guitar, a sparkle of synth and programmed drums. According to the YouTube credits, it was mixed by Brendan O'Brien, who also worked on Soundgarden's 1994 LP, Surer Unknown.

The estate also released a video featuring photos of the singer, including some captured at home by friend and photographer Steven Lyon. Cornell's children, Toni and Christopher, produced the clip. "One of Chris’s engineers recently reminded me of Chris’ recordings from sessions in 2016," the singer's widow, Vicky Cornell, wrote in a statement. "'Patience' was one of them. Listening to it again after so many years it was hauntingly beautiful; it brought it all back in a rush of bittersweet memories."

She noted that Cornell's birthday was the "perfect time to share this and celebrate" the musician: "It is true a man is not dead while his name is still spoken ... and, through his art, an artist’s soul still burns just as bright as ever upon all those that look up to him and his memory. Releasing music that was special to Chris keeps a part of him here with us- his heart and his soul. His love and his legacy."

She continued with thanks to "Axl, Slash and Duff for continuing to honor Chris in their live shows. And to all of Chris’s fans, thank you for holding him in your hearts and always sharing your love for Chris with us. I want to thank our children too; for you are a reflection of your father, both his strength and his kindness. … The memory of your smile still makes my heart, broken as it is, beat as fast as the first time we met. We love you, Chris. Happy birthday."

To honor their father, Toni and Christopher Cornell also launched two national initiatives focused on addiction. "Stop the Stigma," a partnership with the Addiction Policy Forum and the Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation, is an educational pilot program aimed at high schools throughout the country. In August, they will kick off a podcast exploring how stigma is harming efforts to combat addiction.

"Losing our dad was like losing our universe. We miss him every day," Toni and Christopher wrote in a statement. "With our father’s memory, and his constant presence in our lives, we are so proud to be working on a project like this that can make a real difference. His music saved lives and his legacy will continue to do so. No family should have to go through what we did. With this national campaign, we will be able to give people and kids what they need to better understand addiction, the stigma that surrounds it, and how we can work together to end it."

Guns n’ Roses

The motivation for the track is generally accepted to be the troublesome relationship between Axl Rose and his now ex-wife Erin Everly, though this was never stated in the album or interviews. According to bass guitarist Duff McKagan, "Axl came up with a great lyric, seemingly out of nowhere, that of course became the story and melody of that song." It has also been stated by the band that Stradlin wrote the song about his ex-girlfriend Angela Nicoletti McCoy.

Steven Adler did not record on the track, although in some live performances prior to release of the album, such as their performance at the Orange County Fair in New York in the summer of 1988, percussion (and electric instruments) were used.

In the video, the band members are situated in a hotel where they are the only constant images, as all other people are present for a moment, then fade away. The video, directed by Nigel Dick, was one of many produced by the band. The video was filmed on Valentine's Day during 1989, some scenes being shot at the Record Plant. It was the last video in which Steven Adler appeared (even though he did not play on the recorded track) and the last before the Use Your Illusion videos. Mike Clink is also featured in the video, sitting at the mixing board. The video was shot in The Ambassador Hotel, made famous due to Bobby Kennedy's assassination in 1968. The hotel was inoperative and scheduled for demolition, but was not demolished until 2006.
